We kindly inform you that at 28th of October new list of Natura 2000 areas was accepted by Council of Ministers. Fallow the actual list, new areas including 142 areas of special birds protection (in accordance with Bird Directive) and 817 areas of special protection (in accordance with Habitats Directive), all of  them represent 21% of Poland territory.

Because of extended the list of protected areas Natura 2000, Poland achieve the commitment from European Union about making the Natura 2000 network in Poland.

Acquaintance of protected areas has in view simplification process of choosing the area of planned investment by investors.

Now, the complete list of areas  in European Ecological Natura 2000 Network is directed to European Committee in Brussels for acceptation. Verification will be make with accordance of Habitats Directive.

Responsible  for complement the list was General Director of Environment Protection, who with Regional Directors of Environment Protection is responsible also for permitting environmental decisions for investments come into existence on the areas protected by Natura 2000 network.
