Electrabel Polska is one of the biggest producers of renewable energy in Poland, generated from co-combustion of coal and biomass in power plant in Połaniec. Electrabel intensively increases its engagement in renewable energy in whole Europe, having at the end of 2006 4770 MW of installed capacity in renewable sources, including 418 MW in wind farms (another 276 MW under construction), 3894 MW in hydro and 458 MW of capacity from co-combustion of biomass (in Poland 160 MW). Renewable sources account for almost 16% of production capacity of Electrabel, producing in 2006 over 18 TWh of green energy.

SSW Law Firm has provided legal and tax advice on a great number of wind energy projects in Poland. This advisory role is directly related to the support of clients in the development of wind farm projects as well as due diligence and acquisition or sale of wind farm projects ready to be executed. Such projects included the substantial ones exceeding 200MW and multi-national, covering territories outside Poland.
SSW services go beyond the usual legal advice.
